Global Marketplace Toolkit

Product data from seven marketplaces and classifieds sites spanning general e-commerce, refurb electronics, European classifieds, and any Algolia-powered store.

The problem

There's no single "global marketplace API" — every site guards its own catalog behind its own private endpoints. Kleinanzeigen actively fingerprints and blocks plain HTTP clients at the TLS layer, and third-party workarounds charge a premium (~$90/month) for data that's still only refreshed once or twice a day. Algolia-powered stores — a huge share of mid-size e-commerce sites — have no discoverable public product endpoint at all; every integration is a from-scratch reverse-engineering job. This toolkit collects seven of the most commonly needed sources, including a generic Algolia Actor that works against any store built on it, so that reverse-engineering only has to happen once.

Why run them together

Most of these Actors are single-source: point them at one marketplace and get everything it has, without the block-and-retry dance the sites are actively designed to force on you. The Algolia Actor is the exception — a huge fraction of independent online stores run their search on Algolia, so it acts as a generic fallback when you hit a marketplace not covered by name here.

FAQ

Do I need a developer account with Shopify, DHgate, or Kleinanzeigen?

No. These Actors reach each marketplace's product data through Apify directly — no seller account, no partner API key.

How is this billed?

Pay-per-result, no subscription — a flat per-product rate instead of the roughly $90/month third-party Kleinanzeigen scrapers charge for data that's still only refreshed once or twice a day.

Can I use just one Actor instead of the whole toolkit?

Yes. Each marketplace Actor runs independently — use Shopify API Scraper alone, or add the Algolia API Scraper only when you hit a store this toolkit doesn't name directly.

What if the store I need isn't one of the seven named here?

Try the Algolia API Scraper — a large share of independent e-commerce sites run their on-site search on Algolia, so it works as a generic fallback.
